18 th TF-CSIRT meeting.
Logistics page The 18th TF-CSIRT meeting will
take place in the Holiday Inn Vilnius hotel, conference hall "Columbus", Vilnius, Lithuania,
on May 25-26, 2006. The meeting is hosted by LITNET CERT . LITNET CERT has booked 70 rooms at this
hotel. The block booking will be kept until 26 April 2006. Later

Getting to the hotel from the Vilnius airport Vilnius International Airport is in the proximity of the city centre. Distance from the Vilnius airport to the Holiday Inn Vilnius hotel is about 10 km. Taxi: Taxi services are available at the airport. Just for your own reference, traveling from the airport to the city center by taxi costs from from 20 to 40 Litas (from 6 EUR to 12 EUR). It depends on Taxi company you choose. It is better to take yellow cab from "Martono taksi" or "Kabrioletas". The best way is to call a taxi on the phone. It will be cheaper and safer. For your trip from the airport call "Martono taksi" tel. 1422, "Kabrioletas" tel. 1445. Bus: Take the bus No 2 through the city centre to the outskirts (Oro uostas/Airport - Centre - Seskine). The bus stop is just to the left as you exit the arrivals hall. There is a bus service every 10 - 15 minutes. The bus timetable is available at the bus stop by the central entrance to the Arrivals. You can buy a ticket at the Lietuvos Spauda kiosk in the arrivals (it would costs 1,10 Litas) or alternatively from the driver on the bus (it would cost 1,40 Litas. It is better to pay in small change, not bigger than 20 Litas) . When the bus crosses the bridge in front of the Opera House get out at the bus stop "Zaliasis Tiltas" and walk ahead for 100 m until you reach the Holiday Inn Vilnius. The bus No 2 stops list and small plan available here. Minibus: Take
the minibus No 15 through the city centre to the outskirts (Oro uostas/Airport Kalvariju str. Santariskes). The ticket price is 2 Litas
(less then 1 EUR) which you must pay to minibus driver in cash. It is
better to pay in small change, not bigger than 20 Litas. Getting to the hotel by car: From Highway A2 (E272): take Ukmerges str., Gelezinio Vilko str. and at the circle turn left to Konstitucijos pr., continue until you reach the Holiday Inn Vilnius hotel. From Highway A1(E85): take Savanoriu str., Gelezinio Vilko str., cross the bridge and at the circle turn right to Konstitucijos pr., continue until you reach the Holiday Inn Vilnius hotel. Network Access RTIR WG meeting will take place on 24 May in the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics (MII) building, address A.Goštauto 12, which is in about 1,5km from the hotel Holiday Inn (see map). It should take about 20 minutes by walk or you can take troleybus #10 or #11 (bus stop "Žaliasis tiltas") and take off on the second stop (bus stop Kražių) . From there walk along Goštauto street for about 400m. On the front of the building find entrance doors with "RTIR WG" sign.
Brewery "Avilys" (Avilys in English is Hive) is famous for its beer made from natural products and fragrant hops. "Avilys" offers for guests a trip round their brewery, tastings of beer. During dinner you can taste Avilio light and Honey beer or dark Korio beer which is made only in Vilnius brewery. The price of the menu is 90 Litas (~25EUR) per person and will be collected at the conference desk. Additional information You will receive during the meeting. If you have any special dietary requirements, please inform us before the dinner Getting to the meeting dinner place The Beer Restaurant "Avilys" is in walking distance from the Holiday Inn Vilnius hotel, located almost in the hearth of Vilnius city. The small plan of the area will help you to get from the hotel to the "Avilys". The Lithuanian climate is maritime / continental. The weather at the
end of May usually is warm. At day time we might have from +10 to +20 C.
There might also be light rain at this time of a year. Come prepared,
don't forget an umbrella or raincoat! Even though Lithuania joined Europe Union, we still use our national currency Litas (LT). 1 EUR approximately equals 3.45 Litas. Cash payments will be accepted only in Litas, however many shopping centres and other service outlets will accept credit cards. If there are any questions let us know:
